I was lost for words when I went to Animals of Our World sanctuary. I was lucky enough to be able to visit the sanctuary and I was so overwhelmed by all the work they were doing there. When I say my heart went out to all of the stray dogs there... It was a lot to take in. So many emotions.
Did you know there are over 6 million stray dogs here in Cambodia? Thankfully organisations like this are trying to fight against this. Their main focus is to help animals in need that have either been in accidents or have life-threatening illnesses. Hearing the back-stories of all these dogs really broke my heart, but seeing them happy and thriving in a safe environment honestly warmed my heart.
It's crazy because the founder Georgia, is actually from Billericay in Essex, and she came out to Cambodia eight years ago, and basically hasn't left, because she has dedicated her life to giving these animals a better chance.
What an incredible operation @aoow_hos ! Georgia, you and your team are honestly amazing. I’m so grateful that there are people in the world like you! What you are doing for these extremely vulnerable animals is so important.
The thought of all the pain and suffering they have been through really does break my heart, but to see them happy and thriving in your care really is something else.
In order to grow and help more animals @aoow_hos need the support. Please follow their Instagram if you’d like to help.
